Lancaster Masks is the result of collaboration among a diverse group of people throughout the county. Most of us did not know each other prior to forming this group, but united to serve a community need. When we began hearing about local hospitals and primary caregivers running out of protective face masks, several prolific sewers formed online groups, inviting others to join to pool resources, to produce masks and distribute them as quickly as possible. These groups soon realized they could be even more effective by combining forces and coordinating with local entrepreneurs Phil and Annamarie Lapp -- so the 501c3 non-profit Lancaster Masks was born. We are a 100% volunteer organization with all proceeds from the sale of masks online going towards efforts to help Lancaster County open safely.

Our network currently looks something like this:
Annamarie Lapp is fielding all requests for masks, and Phil Lapp is coordinating overarching operations. Depending on the nature of the request, it gets filtered to one of several groups:
-- Lancaster Masks Sewists are fulfilling smaller requests for essential workers.
-- Megan Waldman, Lauren Manelius, Gary Hambright, Jim Eichelberger, Donna Carr, & John Henry serve on the Board that is guiding and directing the future of this endeavor!
